Jeff App Reviews

I love this tool for communicating processes and quickly showing what’s happening on my screen. The lightweight feeling of the app makes it easy to use with little fuss. I use it to show my family how to do something on their computers.

Love Jeff!

Great tool for quick screen recording. I’m finding so many ways to use it!

Nice, lightweight way to communicate design defects, video snippets, and other visuals to coworkers, friends and others. Happy to add this to my tool belt. I’ve pasted one into a GitHub issue so far and expect to do more.

I was lucky enough to be included in the beta run of Jeff. I thought it was a neat idea but I didnt have a full sense of just how much I would end up using it. Capturing a portion of your screen turns out to be an indispensable tool, whether for helping someone out when they ask how to do something on a computer, creating documentation, or just for the plain outright lol factor. The keyboard shortcuts closely match the built in shortcuts for taking a screenshot, so it fits into my workflow very well. Definitely a tool that I would not find myself without, not that I have gotten used to using it.

I’ve only used this app a few times, and already I’ve found it extremely useful. It’s simple design makes it a breeze to use, and doesn’t force me to learn yet another new tool. Great work guys.

Great for communicating

So far works very slick! Would love to see better auto name generation and maybe support share sheets. Jeff is cute.

Shareability is great. Really easy to use. Wondering if there’s a way to shrink the file sizes or do further optimization, as the exported files are pretty large.

Has crashed 2 times in a row for me. “Possibly my slow internet connection” as the files have to upload? Would like the option to save files locally and not have to have everything uploaded to dropbox. Hoping to see this app updated.

Very useful, efficient and easy.

Great app, do what promise in a very simple way. It worth its cost.

This app is great if you need to make quick screen recordings. I used to use Screen Flow to do screen recordings, but Jeff is lighter weight and easier to use. I’m currently using it to record bugs and share them with the rest of my team. Definitely worth the $10.

I love the general workflow and design of this app. However, required Dropbox linking and less than helpful file names are significant detractors. If the app saved directly to the desktop and provided sensible file names (a timestamp would be a great start), this app would be a LOT better. Fixing this and dropping gifs into an in-app preview windows would make this app perfect.
